Who Climbs
We mean it when we say experience optional—you don't need to be a seasoned climber or athlete to join Climb Against the Odds.
Whether experienced mountaineers or fitness newbies, young or not-so-young, women or men, all our climbers share a desire to put one foot in front of the other to prevent breast cancer. This shared purpose guides each Climb Against the Odds team to and on the mountain.
Many of our climbers are cancer survivors. Many more have experienced cancer through moms, sisters, best friends, wives or daughters. They climb to support the Breast Cancer Fund's efforts to prevent breast cancer by eliminating our exposure to the toxic chemicals and radiation linked to the disease. Together we advocate for a safer, healthier environment so our daughters and granddaughters won't have to face breast cancer in their lifetimes.
