For a unique and thoughtful way to show you care, donate a prayer flag in honor or memory of a loved one. Carrying a message of love and healing, this personalized flag will fly at Breast Cancer Fund events across the country.
"The wind carries our prayers of love, healing and remembrance. May we all be well."
In 1995, as 17 breast cancer survivors prepared to climb Mt. Aconcagua in Argentina, they filled their mountaineering packs with 170 flags, each bearing the name of a loved one touched by cancer and a special prayer for love and healing. The women sought to fly the flags from the mountain, where the wind would catch and carry their messages of hope.
Since our first mountaineering expedition, prayer flags have played an instrumental role in Breast Cancer Fund tradition, bringing comfort to thousands of individuals who have donated a flag or had one donated in their honor.
As part of our annual Climb Against the Odds, breast cancer survivors and individuals touched by the disease continue to fill their packs with flags to honor those who have faced—or, are currently facing—the challenge of cancer. The flags also travel to other Breast Cancer Fund events around the country—and the world.
With a tax-deductible donation of $100, you can give the unique gift of a Breast Cancer Fund prayer flag. One flag will travel to Breast Cancer Fund events across the country, and an identical version will be sent to your designated recipient.
Share wishes for love and healing and help support the work to stop breast cancer before it starts.
