Beautycounter is a personal care products company with the mission to get safe products into the hands of everyone. In the absence of government regulation of chemicals, the company has defined “safety” themselves. Every ingredient is run through an ingredient screen, which looks for data on skin irritation, carcinogenicity, reproductive toxicity, cumulative exposure and more. Beautycounter has created a "NEVER" list of ingredients that they avoid at all costs, including 1,4-dioxane, Bisphenol A and parabens, resulting in over 1500 chemicals that are not allowed in their products. The Breast Cancer Fund and our Campaign for Safe Cosmetics have been Beautycounter’s non-profit partners since the company’s inception in 2013.
