The Event
Thanks to all who joined the Breast Cancer Fund for our 6th annual Bike Against the Odds, a fundraising ride for breast cancer prevention. This fun and energizing ride starts at Lake Merritt, travels up into the towering redwoods and finally affords panoramic views of the San Francisco Bay from the ridgelines of the East Bay hills.  You can choose from four route distances, ranging from 31 to 103 miles with 2,660 to 10,000 feet of climbing.  The multiple route options give everyone an opportunity to create their perfect ride experience.  Bike Against the Odds is a fully-supported event with well-stocked rest stops and SAG support.  After the ride, we hosted a community celebration at Lake Merritt with organic food, entertainment and an expo of information on reducing your exposure to everyday chemicals linked to breast cancer.

The Cause
By joining Bike Against the Odds, either as a rider or a volunteer, you can proudly tell your friends that you are a partner of the nation’s leading organization that focuses solely on breast cancer prevention. You will be helping the Breast Cancer Fund to identify – and advocate for elimination of – the environmental and other preventable causes of the disease. If all that isn’t enough, you’ll treasure a magical day of gorgeous cycling, excellent food, and great company.
